The Stradbroke Ferries water taxi, Escape to Stradbroke, operates 7 days a week with up to 14 return services daily. The water taxi carries up to 170 passengers. The water taxi terminal is at 3 Emmett Drive, Cleveland. Parking is available on the opposite side of the road and a zebra crossing guides you to the information office and the water taxi departure and arrival terminal.
The trip takes 25 mins and most services connect with the local island bus, which travels up to Point Lookout.
Bookings are not required for the water taxi service. Purchase your tickets at either of the Cleveland offices or at Dunwich before boarding. When the offices are closed, you can purchase a ticket on board with cash or EFTPOS.
Dogs on board
Dogs are allowed on board and in our terminals, however for the safety of crew and other passengers, they must wear a lead and muzzle. Dogs should be clean and dry, and not sitting on a seat.
Bus from Cleveland train station
There is a connecting bus from the Cleveland train station (route 258) which departs approximately 20 minutes prior to the water taxi departure. You can check timetables and prices on the Translink Journey Planner.
